That’s right. It’s 3:00 AM and it’s 1°C out there when I went out to 7-eleven. After a nic dinner at 9:00 PM I couldn’t fight my sleeping desire, and I closed my eyes, opened it and then it’s 2:00 AM. Now I’m scratching my wrist for some Metal Gear 4. Yup, nothing lik playing Metal Gear while the whole world is sleeping.

Quantum of Solace

Posted in movies, review at 4:37 am by Salah

Got to see the movie last Saturday with the guys and I had high hopes for it. Ever since I saw Casino Royale, I noticed that some things got changed in the Bond series and traditions. Let’s start with the what used to be a usual thing in all Bond movies and now it either got taken out or volumed down. Those thngs would be:

-sport cars (still there, but not as much as the previous movies).

-Famous Bond watches.

-Sexy Bond girls with the latest fashion (the girl is hot, but no fahion stuff).

I know that at least one person would disagree with me on the cars point. There was an Aston Martin in the movie driven by Bond, but that was oly at the beginning of the movie and for only few minutes. Afterward, there will be a boring clip with Bond driving a Range Rover. He wasn’t even driving it fast, he was simply driving it; and even that clip wasn’t long enough. Later on you would see Bond driving a Ford Edge! I mean come on, you can never let Bond drive such a car and then make sure that the audience see the kame brand of the car!

As for the gadgets and those high-tech tools that Bond usually have, it was completely vanished in the movie. Do not expect to see any kind of cool equipments or what so ever. Not even a string coming out of a watch or anything; Nothing at all!

Ok, so what’s new? Well as I mentioned before, the physical action—that began in Casino Royale—is astonishing and better than any Bond movie I’ve seen before. They do a great job with making Bond look strong, and all muscles and stuff. However, I have a feeling that the English fans of Bond don’t want him to be like that. Either way, James Bond never looked stronger, and I liked the fighting scenes.

Now I don’t want to spoil the story on you, so I’ll be vague. Nothing is ectremely unique in the story and it’s not very different from the whole Bond series. Nevertheless, the dramatic scenes and the shifts in Bond’s character is noticeable.

Overall the movie was ok, but if I knew the movie would turn to be like how it was then I wouldn’t have seen it in the theter; but I would have waited to see it on DVD though.

Bahranian Sheikh suing Michael Jackson

Posted in celebrities, Music, news at 8:45 pm by Salah

Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid $7 million as a loan (I guess) to Michael Jackson’s Album and production that never saw the light; and now he is suing the king of pop for not paying him back. Michael, however, is saying that the money was a gift and not a lawn.

I remember hearing that Michael Jackson has a friend who is a sheikh at Bahrain; and that was one of the reasons why Michael Jackson moved to Bahrain for a while.

Here is the link.

Your memory and countries’ names

Posted in Fun at 12:50 pm by Salah

Found thiscool quick game by Karen; it’s simply testing your knowldege and memory of how many countries can you remember in five minutes.

Yes I know 38 is really small number, but I could have gon way higher if I had the exact right spelling of every single country I remembered.

For example, I was trying to write Saudi Arabia and I wrote: Saudia, Saudia Arabia, KSA, Kingdom of Saudia Arabia…ect; and nothing was given to me right and lost some time.

Same thing was for Emirates, United Kingdom and some other countries that I remember their names in Arabic but I forgot what they were called in English.

Try it.

It’s fun though.

I have a presentation in 2 hours, and I then I have a class that ends at 9:40 PM. Can’t wait til I’m done with the day and start enjoying Metal Gear a little bit. Ever since I started to be more familiar with how the game works I have been wanting to play it more.

Just remembered: Totally not going to be able to play tonight. I have a freakin test tomorrow!

problems with Fable II

Posted in video games at 9:00 pm by Salah

My cousin got Fable II lately and he has been complaining about a problem that keeps occuring. When he arrives at some place in the game, the screen would turn all red; he thought at first the problem was from the TV or XboX itself, but it turned that it was the game. When he went back to Gamestop they confirmed that there is a glitch in the game, and in a month there will be a patch or something to fix the problem.

However, he is not willing to wait that long; so he’ll trade in Assassin’s creed and Fable II to get Gears of War 2 instead.

Update: Found this video on youtube showing how it turns red

Another update: According to my cousin, the problem is with his HDMI cable that came with his XboX. He’s going to replace the cable, then we find out if it’s true.
